Poem: Unavoidable

Wishing walking on water was easy

That the cold waves beneath would guide me instead of breaking my fall

That when I fall into them & drag my body out, I am not soaked with someone else’s tears

Pain dropping from all over into the blue deep

Do I bother this attempt?

Yes.

Pain: an unavoidable part of life
