Want to get to know us a little better? Meet Cathy Bass, Co-Founder and Children's Book Expert! The only thing Cathy loves more than reading a good book is sharing her recommendations with others. She has been working in primary and middle schools for several years, both as a teacher and as a librarian, and she has long been obsessed with finding the perfect book for each of her students. She particularly loves Mac Barnett, Diana Wynne Jones, and Maggie Stiefvater. Cathy is over the moon about launching The Book Hero and is excited to start sharing recommendations with all of you!
Wondering who we are? Meet Kendra Aber-Ferri, Co-Founder and Children's Book Expert. Kendra is an avid reader and a published poet. She loves to curl up with a good book, her son, Hudson, and their kitten, Zeke. Having honed her reader's advisory skills over many years of working in public and school libraries, she is excited to be working on The Book Hero. Some of her favorite authors include Oliver Jeffers, Roald Dahl, Philip Pullman, Kate DiCamillo, and Marcus Zusak.
