This brother @cordae loves this sister. I imagine this very public event was probably really tough for her and my heart goes out to her as she finds her way with or without tennis. @naomiosaka is a true Sheroe. Speaking her truth. Standing in Self Love showing the world (especially BIPOC girls) what honoring yourself first looks like (along with @simonebiles ) So many suffer silently and it kills them from the inside out. Bravo to both of them again. All of us in our society must recognize that #mentalhealth matters and if not addressed...does not have a good end. We were reminded of that last week when we lost #michaelkwilliams .... My mom had me in therapy in middle and high school and I KNOW I'm better for it. I stopped in middle of college...which I regret. But when caring for my Mom started weighing heavier in the last decade or so, I knew I needed it again...especially right after she passed in 2018...after Chad's passing last year a week after second year anniversary of her death it was too much..When I woke up with the sentence: "I am depleted." on my heart and knew I had to do something drastic to turn things around. I started again. Found great therapist through #borishensonfoundation that has helped me immensely which started with three complimentary sessions sponsored by #theborislawrencehensonfoundation that I remain grateful for. So glad @tarajiphenson has been helping to highlight this crucial issue. Those three sessions were the start of a renewed Kaypri. Naomi is proof that anyone can go through tough times and have a hard time coping. "Fame" and "fortune" and "success" mean nothing if you don't have ways to love and serve yourself in place. Back to my original thought: I LOVE how this brother loves and stands by this sister. Cordae is a real one. P.S. His lyrics are the truth too. P.P.S. I also received 4 free sessions last year through #thelovelandfoundation P.P.P.S. Regardless of small/no budget therapy is available. Don't let cost be a prohibitive factor. Google free or low cost mental health and your zip code. It's important to get the support you need. You won't know how much you needed it until you start..(IMO everybody does) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTzGBaYLrjD/?utm_medium=tumblr
