The Boys Review
The Boys Review
I think the best thing about the boys is that there are no good people. Everyone in one way or another has blood on their hands. The Boys reminds me of Captain America: Civil War, when all the civilians got really worried about the Avengers just roaming around going on missions causing destruction and killing a lot of innocents in the process. I think what is so bad about the heroes in The Boys is that they are all part of a business, they are there to make profit for the company – Vaught, and most of the heroes are in it for the fame, the love and the sponsorship deals.
This season Homelander was not the main antagonist but the newest member of the Seven – Stormfront was. To be honest, I hated her from the beginning. Something did not sit well with me on their first mission when she just randomly attacks civilians that were not trying to harm her in any way. It all made a lot of sense to find out that she is actually a 100-year-old Nazi. And honestly what is Amazon Prime’s obsession with Nazis, a lot of their top shows feature Nazis. The Hunters, The Man in the High Castle and the list goes on.
Overall, this season gets a 9/10, the storyline was honestly immaculate, and I just find the general concept of the show to be quite fresh and original. It would have been a 10/10 if they just released all the episodes at once.
