Favourite entry: I don't have a definite favorite, honestly. I prefer a lot of the setpieces and the general quirkiness of Earthbound, but the raw emotion and animations of Mother 3 win that game for me. It's a tough pick.Least favourite entry: Mother. Least interesting combat system, not quite as quirky as the others. Mt. Itoi. Next.First one I played: Earthbound. Didn't finish it until after Mother 3 though, surprisingly enough.Most recent one I’ve played: Again, Earthbound. I'm not sure why I didn't complete it the first time around. Maybe I was sleepy. Or dumb.Most nostalgic: I almost wouldn't be able to answer this, but the ending to Mother 3 still fucks with me to this day.Hidden gem: They're all this, really. Especially the first and third one since they didn't come state-side.Underrated entry: 3 actually gets a little flack for linearity and its rhythm-based combat. I personally didn't find any gripes with either, and there's a really charming story to find here.Overall opinion on the series: Needs more love. The whole series needs to come out stateside somehow as a VC release. Had a pretty satisfying conclusion too, in my opinion when it could have just churned out more sequels.
