It’s sometimes hard for people without depression to deal with depression in others. Same with other disorders and conditions that aren’t physically observable. Why, I’m not sure, but screw that.
My dad has been depressed pretty much his whole life and he's never ever heard the end of "being positive".
I get a lot of that from him so I understand. What everyone else doesn't understand is how much it hurts him to have his feelings invalidated by others.
