We thought we were losing this lovely girl on Christmas Eve morning… she’s 19 1/2 years old and suddenly started falling over to the left, with her hind legs giving out out, eyes jiggling back and forth, vomiting and extremely lethargic. We were 24 hours in with no power and water and the thought of having to say goodbye to Jezzie seemed unimaginable. We bundled her up in a blanket and rushed to the emergency vet clinic in Portland. 2 hours later, we were bringing her home with us! Tentative diagnosis of vestibular disease, responding brilliantly to meds and almost back to her old self.
