I stumbled upon this and uhm ... may have teared up. A lot.

I doubt many know who this OC is. This is Ren, an OC from a dear friend of mine and some other people here on tumblr. A cat-shapeshifting, quite twisted woman, my OC interacted with quite a lot. This specific pic was made by @sintastein quite a few years ago.

I am said to say that the person who owned the OC died over a year ago due to Covid...

@khadajhin-unchained - One of the first blogs I interacted with.  I screwed up our first RP because I didn’t realise he had changed his text format, so I thought he was shouting at Sky and….well….it was pretty hilarious. I’m surprised at what direction we have taken with our RP’s, but it is enjoyable to plot ideas with them  ^^

@yasuo-the-unforgiven - Their RP’s and art are inspirational, and their munis pretty awesome too!  I do watch their blog from afar, but I hope to RP with them at some point ^^

@moruboru - Not an RP blog, but their art is always a pleasure to see on my dash.  Their tumblr theme makes me laugh every time I see it, and their art is just ace.

These are just a few, I could list several more, but I don’t want to bore you with my blabbing ^^’

⚰favorite type of plot

//In all honesty, I prefer RP’s with no plots, or ones that we have just talked about our characters and gone with the flow with it.  Sometimes I feel like structured plots can be too restricting, but then again, if it’s for a developed thread (see this thread with @michael-the-primordial-mage ), it’s necessary (we planned this months in advance before writing it).

My favourite kinds of threads are just when the muses are just…talking… Fight scenes can be a bitch to write on a whim, and I feel that more can be learnt about the muses by them just being in a conversation.

Ren: I am fine.

Aira: No. You need rest.

Ren: I need to rip something apart.

Aira: you will rip my heart apart if you don't look after yourself.

It's a date, alright.

"Did it ... make you speechless?"

Aira's smile was disarming. It was warm and friendly, kind in her own, unique way. But that was probably not the reason why Ren was standing there seemingly for once without a smart remark. Which - to be honest - would probably have destroyed the moment the two were having now very easily. Their conversation had only been a few days ago. But the shapeshifter had noticed that she would be needed in one of her ... affairs - Aira hadn't asked what Ren meant with that - in the coming days and thus they had - despite not fully being happy about it - moved their 'date' a bit further into the future. And said future was now.

The thing however this time around was that Aira couldn't really wait for the time to pass. Something she noticed just a few hours after Ren had left, which then caused her to pack a few of her things and follow Ren towards her destination. It had been a rather problematic idea since it happened to be almost impossible for Aira to find Ren anywhere in the city. Until she managed to find a place that seemed to have some connections with the shapeshifter. In exchange for a bit of coin, Aira had left Ren a letter. One that pretty much explained the stargazers selfishness and her impacience. Which was a bit more Ren's style so to speak, yet did seem to fit quite well. And then simply a few ideas on how to meet. Just to make sure ... that a date would actually work out for them.

It had been a meeting in a small bar next to one of the more busy streets. Aira had acted a bit mysterious, but lastly had basically begged Ren to go along with her idea which turned out as not much more than a picknic in one of the nearby park areas. Aira wasn't sure how okay Ren had been with the entire situation. She woukd probably find out soon. All this had happened in just the past couple of days. And now, here they were: standing in front of each other under an old tree with look onto the lake, no other living soul to be seen. Only them.

The shapeshifting devil that had managed to get the ancient star to fall in love with her. And Aira. Who was wearing a simple but rather beautiful summerdress. A one-piece dress, white and moving softly in the gentle breeze that was running over the open fields, moving her hair slightly, tugging on it, while she looked at the other. She was blushing. Embarressed. And pretty happy. "I ... Ren? Are you okay?"

Praying

"Sometimes I want to ask someone what god they believe in."

Ren blinked upon the more than weird and sudden question as she looked up to the stargazer whose lap she was resting her head on. Her eyebrow rose as she smiled cheekishly. "Oh? And what do they answer then, hmm~? An old granny like you should have plenty of stories ab-"

"I never ask.", the stargazer interrupted her girlfriend and smiled before she looked up into the starry nightsky. The sound of the campfire before them was the only thing echoing through the darkness for a moment, accomplished only by the silent chirping of the crikets and the wind that rustled through the leaves of the garden. Aira let out a sigh and closed her eyes. "I don't ask because I know the truth. And I prefer not to shatter someone's belief."

Ren blinked again, this time staring intensely at the celestial. Somehow she felt so distant to the other this moment. She was once again reminded on how old the ancient star was. How much knowledge wad hiding behind this beautiful face of Aira's. How big the gap between the shapeshifter and girlfriend was. She gulped and looked away, wanting to move her head from the lap she had rested on for a long time now. But the movement was stopped by the fingers running through her hair and stroking the upper side of her ear, gently circling it's tip, playing with and teasing her a bit, before pulling lower the the dark skin, running next to one eye and finally resting on Ren's cheek. She herself leaned against it after a brief hesistation. And then finally she decided to talk. "Say ... what god do you believe in?"

Aira stayed silent while her fingers kept stroking the others cheek. A smile started growing on her lips, a soft, almost childlike giggle, before she leaned down to the other. "I don't know their name. Or if they even had one to begin with. But ... if there is a god I believe in...", she whispered and pulled Ren upwards, arms wrapped around her neck, their faces just mere inches away from each other. Aira could see her own reflection in the others eyes. Her lips were wearing a gentle, warm smile. Ren's were slightly parted, uncertain what to make with them, her eyes filled with curiousity and a hint of bitterness, mixed with happiness and ... love.

Their lips met for a short moment. Aira's ashen skin tasting the others dark brown own, her fingers running down the others back while she kept kissing the other gently, her hands circling against the akin revealed under Ren's favorite dress, both of their eyes slightly lid as they embraced the moment. A moment special as all others were. Finally, holding her beloved in her arms, her hands gently resting on Ren's waist, she broke the kiss for just a single sentence, her eyes still locked with the other, as she let out a deep, longing sigh. And then, she answered: "if ... there is a god I believed in ... it would be the one that decided ... it would be a good idea ... for us to meet."
