The first day of school was always a bundle of nerves. Or at least that was what Charlee had heard. She had never had a ‘first day of school’ until she left for college. Her parents had home schooled her and her brothers because they didn’t ‘agree’ with what some schools taught as it didn’t inline with their religious beliefs.
Despite that, Charlee had turned out smart and moderately normal, although very shy, and had gone to a ‘normal’ college. Her parents hadn’t been agreeable with that, until she showed them that it was nearly half the price to go to a public school rather than private and she could get more scholarships there. She had liked school and being away from her family as terrible as that sounded and majored in music education though her father argued she should get an American history degree, but caved and got a minor in history.
But, that was in the past. Today was her first day of school at her new job as a music instructor. And she was terribly excited. And also terribly terrified.
And....she couldn’t find the music room.
“Excuse me?” Charlee said shyly as she got the attention of someone, holding her books to her chest. “Could you tell me where the music room is?”
