It’s all good! I’ve been a fan of the game since it came out, but I know a lot of my friends never played it, or didn’t go around talking to everyone. That means certain details can be missed, like people talking about Bhujerba’s exports dropping in quality. While not totally necessary for the plot, it adds a nice bit of extra information that an attentive first-time player might plausibly run into.

I’m making a conscious effort on this playthrough to talk to EVERY NPC at every time they might have a dialog update, and selecting topics the NPCs have brought up to feature in the posts. Some of them are pretty obviously leading to where the story’s going to take you next, but others are really nice background on the general public’s feelings about the political situations playing out in the plot.

And sometimes it’s in-jokes about shit like spoony bards, which is always great.
