Meeting your future husband for the first time would make anyone nervous. The young princess had so many thoughts swirling through her head as she sat in her chair, and waited for the prince to arrive. She had been notified a few weeks ago about the plans to marry her off to an allied kingdom, and she hadn't been very happy about it. Serah had always wanted to find someone on her own, that she could get to know and fall in love with, but as a princess she wasn't necessarily allowed the opportunity. None of the Prince's she'd met previously were really her type. Stuck up rich boys who cared nothing more about her then a possible future possession wasn't really her thing. But apparently, despite her begging for them to allow her to pick on her own, the deal here was worth far to much to the kingdom to deny. So she was stuck. She really hoped that by some miracle that this man was going to be perfect. Her mother seemed to be confident in the choice. She'd told Serah several times that she thought She was going to like him.... but who was to say really. The queen may have just been tying to convince her, and keep her calm.
Serah's eyes stayed down to her dress, fiddling with the fabric in her fingers as she waited for him to arrive. Her maid's had been extra attentive to her appearance today as to make a good first impression so she was much more dolled up then she was even used too. She felt like she should be going to a ball not just staying around the castle and hanging out with one person. But oh well... hopefully the prince liked that sort of thing.
