The anxiety that comes with awaiting a day & it finally arriving, to our dismay of not living up to our expectations. Been there? . . A couple of years ago, we started a journey #TheCommitment. Shared a mini-series of posts on the blog about it even. And what a ride it has been! . Every month since the 9th of March, those couple of years back, we've been celebrating a moon-cycle's (a month's) worth of God's Faithfulness and goodness. And in 3 days time, we'll be in celebration again. Of God's commitment towards sustaining what He began, as we hope to finish which we committed to. Which I committed to. . The journey of singlehood has brought along with it the expected highs and lows, the surprising lessons, but better than both latter results; the unexpected benefits, the necessary perspective and the grown faith in God. Insights shared here are not from one who has conquered all knowledge concerning the singlehood process, neither are they from a relationships guru who's next best-seller will change your Love life for good. Far from any of that, they are from a student. . One who is reminded to sit humbly at the feet of Jesus every day and learn again all about what he thinks he knows, as though he never learnt it in the first place. . So, scooch over. We're learning all we were taught in 2020 & the years prior as though we never learnt them. The style of teaching may vary but the lessons all are drawn from the same Rabbi. And with each class, aspire to grow. To graduate. To move from glory to glory, all in the humility required of you: to learn to trust in the rhythms of His ways and His teachings. They will vary from what your expectations usually level up to, but nonetheless, your part isn't to worry but to trust. . Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplications with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God that transcends all human understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. .
