Dinner for Two

As usual dinner was set on the table, enough for two with some leftovers. Two places set at the table. A bottle of wine in the center.

To be quite frank Damien didn't hold out a lot of hope for it. Bot the food itself - he knew he was a decent enough cook. No, he didn't hold much hope for Richie actually being home. They were at the tail end for filming The Storyteller before they called the show a wrap. It had been running for a couple years so it wasn't that bad that it was ending. He expected a bit of melancholy once it ended though - the show had been Richie's baby.

But the ending also meant Rich was spending longer and longer at the studio, showing up more than once now after midnight (and Lord knew how or why they stayed that long) and missing dinner consistently for the past three weeks.

So no, he didn't hold up much hope for that night. Still, two places, enough for three, and a bottle of wine. Just in case.
