I was tagged by the lovely smut bean (a.k.a Rosa, smut sister, Dorian’s slut/mate, Nyx, frying pan maniac, etc.) @king-havilliard and I tag @hermajestymanon @her-misplaced-wings @amren and whoever else wants to join!

1. Are you named after someone? As far as I know...no. I was going to be named Julia until my parents found Lauren in a book of names.

My Chinese name was Yukie/Yuka which I thought was pretty cool. I don’t know what it means though...I should probably go look up what it means...

2. When was the last time you cried? Fact: I am not an emotional person (I have the emotions of a brick wall) but hte last time I “cried” was last Saturday when I broke my 1600 meter Personal Best by a bunch. I couldn’t tell if the tears were from happiness, pain, or the fact I had another race after that...probably all three.

3. Do you like your handwriting? An 8-year old’s handwriting is probably neater than my print. My cursive is decent tho but no one can read it (uncultured swine)

4. What’s your favourite lunch meat? Ummm..no pass...

5. Do you have kids? Hahaha....that’s funny...no.

6. If you were another person, would you be friends with you? I’m the kind of person that’s super quiet if I don’t know you but once you know me you’ll want to throw me off the nearest cliff.

7. Do you use sarcasm? 90% of my vocabulary is sarcasm. The other 10% is dark humor I mumble under my breath that no one understands

8. Do you still have your tonsils? Yup.

9. Would you bungee jump? Yeah. That and skydiving

10. What is your favourite kind of cereal? I really don’t have one...?

11. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Nope. Unless they’re super tight my feet are narrow enough to slip on and off

12. Do you think you’re a strong person? Well...I run cross country and track so my legs are pretty strong...my arms are noodles. Funny story: I had to bench press and (it was just the bar...) I dropped it on me and knocked the breath out of my lungs...yeah...not my proudest moment...

13. What is your favourite ice cream? I’m a child. I love Superman/Rainbow or the one with the rainbow swirls

14. What is the first thing you notice about people? Eyes. Definitely eyes.

15. What is your least favourite physical thing about yourself? Eyes...they’re just too small for my nose and chubby cheeks

16. What colour pants and shoes are you wearing now? I’m at home so no shoes and hot pink and purple Nike compression shorts.

17. What are you listening to right now? Something Just Like This - The Chainsmokers LISTEN TO IT

18. If you were a crayon, what colour would you be? Black Void or Blood Red

19. Favourite smell? Clean cars, crackling embers, new shoes

20. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone? China sister (it’s complicated) Katie 

21. Favourite sport to watch? College Track and Field

22. Hair colour? Black

23. Eye colour? Dark brown, slightly lighter in the light

24. Do you wear contacts? Yup.

25. Favourite food to eat? Fruits and Vegetables 

26. Scary movies or comedy? Neither. I’m not really a movie person

27. Last movie you watched? The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I wasn’t that impressed...

31. What book are you currently reading? For school : Of Mice and Med (totally recommend it)

Day 13 (Ship you dislike) and Day 14 (OTP) of #loveatfirstpage17 work rather well for this photo. I have never liked Tamlin and I can't stand who Feyre is when she's with him in either book. But Rhysand? He's everthing. Can I ask what is actually going on? Like why is everyone arguing, and who is the person who is being really small minded about Rowaelin and stuff? I'm just curious because I've seen so much on my dash today, but I'm not sure what's going on really...

with Empire of Storms drawing near, it seems that Rowaelin and anti-Rowaelin posts have been resurfacing. specifically ones comparing Rowan to Tamlin and ones saying Rowan is abusive. (my own opinion here… but I don’t agree with either of those… and I’m going to just leave it at that)

while everyone is entitled to their own opinion, it’s frustrating to see anti-Rowaelin posts in the Rowaelin tag. I speak for myself but I get extremely peeved when I see hate in a tag I love and follow. if I were to ever post something about my anti-ship, I can assure you I wouldn’t spam that ship’s tag with hate. that tag is there for it’s shippers to follow… not to be filled with hate.

who the arguments were with isn’t important. no one needs to be dragged back because tbh I don’t want this to start back up. as a fandom, we know the shipping wars get pretty intense. we are all very strong in our shipping! I just feel very strongly about certain characters and tire of seeing comparisons that I feel are inaccurate. (again, my own opinion)

it seems that everyone in this fandom, including myself, is very set in their own opinions about these characters. no matter what we say to the people that feel opposite, they won’t be swayed. I feel like we all need to remember that. but after so many hate posts I just get TIRED OF IT. and sometimes I feel the need to speak up for that character. but like I said, it doesn’t do much good at all. 

so basically, anon, some of us on this account just feel very strongly when we see these hate posts and can’t help but say something. honestly, I have gotten to the point where I might scream if I see one more “Rowan is just like Tamlin” or “Rowan is abusive” post.  

just remember, when you put your opinion (positive or negative) on the internet, you are leaving that open for others to voice their own right back at you.

why can't you and the fandom just chill instead of attacking each other because of personal opinions? This is getting tiring...

Honestly, I don’t think anyone would have reblogged with opinions if not for the highly dismissive way the op posted their own opinion. There’s a good and bad way to go about educating people and by calling the fandom stupid for liking a character - for reason op doesn’t even know - just isn’t right, nor is it appropriate. So for the people reblogging with their own opinions, I give them props for replying and telling op what they thought of the post.
