You asked "Why did she create more opportunities to feed the crazies?" Anon, that perspective implies Cait gives "the crazies" importance and relevance in her life, and let's them dictate what she does or doesn't do.

How about this perspective: Cait knows there are crazy fans out there. She knows that nothing she does will convince them that she's married to Tony and that her son is his. So, she and Tony continue to live their lives as if the crazies don't exist. Cait and Tony live their lives. If the crazies have a problem with it, that's their problem, not Cait's. You're giving them too much importance. Cait obviously doesn't. Simple as that.

I'm a huge fan of Timothy Olyphant but for some reason I had never watched this movie. It was pretty good and parts scared me to death. Not the blood, gore, or violence. The fact that an infection infecting everyone and a federal agent stating that what was happening in their town if not stopped could lead to a global pandemic. The Crazies (2010) When a small town starts seeing its residents go crazy, the local sheriff and his partner investigate the cause. After they find a possible cause, they try to escape the madness that ensues. I remember The Crazies from when I was a kid and after revisiting it I can see why it never made a truly lasting impression. That isn’t to say The Crazies is bad, it just isn’t as good as it could have been. I really enjoyed the premise, the control measures and the state vs society concept. The problems for me arise in the fact that is started so explosive and big octane, and that is needed to maintain that going forward and it did for the most part and there’s some incredible scenes that are both scary and just off the wall. But there’s also the side that see’s it just diminish slowly as the film goes on, almost as if it loses its legs and doesn’t quite know what it wanted to accomplish. I’ve never seen the original, so I can’t compare it to that, I’ll probably get round to it in due course but for now I can’t draw many comparisons. There’s no real standout performances or sumptuous score to comment on, and they both fall into the category of do their job here. Overall, It’s a decent film, it’s worth a watch if you manage to get to see it, I wouldn’t go searching high and wide for it but if it’s ever on TV then give it a watch and see what you think!
