Forgot to share this earlier: Here's a look at my dining room table with my sketchbook open and one of my Home Hare Care art pieces in progress. I work in short bursts, often working in phases on several different projects. Yes, I have an #artstudio with a big art easel and all the trimmings. One of the cool things about my work that I enjoy the most is review my creative process and to see how certain ideas evolve and transform. This design in particular, inspired by my Grandmother Helvia, started as a colorpencil drawing on black cardboard. I took pictures of it, scanned it, retouched in photoshop and played with it a lot. I uploaded to my @society6 store and it has been one of the best sellers, but I still felt it wasn’t quite my original concept. I have been experimenting and studying @procreate in theipad and surface design, taking different classes on @skillshare and I couldn’t be happier with the evolution of this design.
