hiya!!
im conifero, and this is a fanblog of a book series in wattpad called Flight School, authored by Lydia O. Red (username: thecuppedcake).
bIt is an adventure/fantasy fiction about a dystopian, floating island in the sky which seeks humans across the globe that are considered to be "winged"– having an avian representing the manifestation of your being whom you can borrow the form and capabilities of. in the variety of bird species, you could be any of them. but there's something offputting about this island... you may not come out of it alive if you're a prey.
CRIMINALLY underrated book how dare it be for free?? if youre into psychological, philosophical with a tinge of drama and thriller along with the LGBTQ+ genre, this book is for you!
with that being said, it was just perfect for me... so let's get along! :))

Hie guys, so this is the first book I'm commenting on. I've read this book on wattpad which is probably where most of my books are going to be coming from. Anyways.... today I'm giving my overall thoughts on a Trilogy written by theCuppedCake (Baked Love, Brave Love and Beyond Love) so yeah BL Trilogy.
If I am to summarize the BL Trilogy into as few words as I can I would say its was a 'bumpy rollercoaster' which is usually the case with most romance novels; but personally I feel what sets certain books apart from the rest and makes them memorable is the way the story is delivered and the experience that a reader gets from reading a book, which I feel the BL Trilogy was able to do. How? Well the three books which follow our main characters Chip, Xander and his sister Giselle are written in a way that makes the reader feel as if they are also apart of the plight faced by each and every character. For the sake of not spoiling, I'll vaguely say that Giselle's plight connected with me the most and her struggle with autism and vision impairment through life and school was something that I believe the author was able to deliver very well.
The author steers away form being too fluffy with her characters which is something that I really appreciate as she focuses on more serious minor themes of the story. Her characters are real and it's a story that gives you a slice of life kind of feeling when reading it. Good and bad characters alike a reader feels real emotion towards the characters. Overally I enjoyed the book.
As much as the book is good i must say, i feel that more could have been done with the ending if the trilogy and the last book as a whole. I think there was so much opportunity to add in more important details that were left out. For example I still have question marks on what happened to Trudy and was that the end of Xander's father's persistence when he clearly seems to be that much of a hard man? But I guess there's a realistic feel of the situation at the end in that no matter how much we may think we've gotten over all obstacles in life the fact that were still living means that the future can bring almost anything.
Overall the Trilogy was good, emotional and fun which involved a lot of fun writing styles like the use of the scenario when Chip and Xander first met in different circumstances and alternative outcomes of choices which were and could be made.
I hope more people read this book and if you have already, what did you think about it
