The Dark
often we find ourselves longing for the dark
the absence of forever
in these moments the abyss of nothingness calls out to us
Our curiosity is peaked by what could or could not be
the promise of sleep seeming so seductive
A final rest
A rest to end all weary
oh what the dimming of the day might bring
That the Dark may hide all our pains
And they would be forgotten with the setting sun
Never to rise again
oh How sweet the Dark Would be
for if the light were gone
I could no longer see
And all would be at peace
Oh How sweet the Dark Would Be
