“Why do you hate the darkness you carry so much?” She breathes.
I can’t bring myself to look at her. She falls to her knees and looks up at me.
“I love that in you. The dark abyss you carry in your eyes and in your soul is more of a comfort to me than endless oceans of blue skies and colored fields.”
I look at her questioningly. She looks down at the ground as tears start to fall.
“It feels like home...”
