If I wanted to get into Omori, is there anyone who's done a good playthrough of it?

I can think of a couple! (I think all of these are blind playthroughs?)

I personally really enjoyed ManlyBadassHero's playthrough, and Shenpai's playthrough! Shenpai had Twitch Chat off to the side too! Here's a highlight video they did!

Merg just finished the main route recently and it's one of the more detailed ones since he got the highest WTF Value for the events (like Undertale's FUN values for Gaster, it's randomly generated at the start of a playthrough). I'd say it's my favourite playthrough of OMORI so far because he really tried to show off as much as he could; for reference he was one sidequest off doing every sidequest in the overworld!

Danielle from Counselor Plays is a therapist who is doing a playthrough and giving a psychology analysis throughout, which is really interesting to see because she's picked up on a lot of foreshadowing super quickly! At the time of this ask she's not done yet but she's close! She's also been blurring out some of the more disturbing content so there's that!

Pr1vateLime has also done a great playthrough of both routes in the game so I'd recommend them too if you're interested in the Hikikomori Route later!

Tuonto (I watch them play Genshin Impact sometimes) did a good two parter stream of it! And they're not done yet, but Dish (another person I watch play Genshin Impact) is playing it too! They have finished it but they're still uploading it I think.

A lot of the HoloLive crew did it as well, but I've only watched Calliope Mori's playthrough.

Lastly, while it's not a playthrough, I'd highly recommend Nitro Rad's review, but it has massive spoilers, so maybe watch it once you're done with watching/playing it or decided you don't mind spoilers (this game made me cry more than Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, so I can't stress this enough: don't spoil yourself unless you're sure you've seen a full playthrough or you've beat it yourself lmao)

Sorry if that went on quite a bit lmao, I really love this game and while it's very heavy content, in my opinion it's one of the most detailed, well-written RPGs I've played in a very long time. 💙

FOR GENERAL FAMILY STUFF i headcanon michael afton as the big brother/foxy bully, with gabriel afton (crying child) as the middle child and elizabeth afton as the youngest!! mother divorced, left the children with william, all that good stuff

elizabeth didnt get to know her second old brother much if at all, and grew up with an imaginary friend named gabriel. mike doesnt like hearing about this imaginary friend (credit for this specific hc is from @mybigmood btw!)

michael wasnt always so eloquent with the way he speaks! he used to be more like your typical 80s in terms of slang and whatnot, but as he grew up and tragedy surrounded him, he became more closed off -- and by extension, made his speech less... personal.

speaking of mikey, he HATES his father. he really does. he hates how he looks like him, he hates how his father has little elizabeth as his favorite child while giving him absolutely nothing... but hes also afraid. he wants his father to actually care about him. he wants his father to love him, too. or at least, just... some kind of fatherly affection. but uh. sister location is what happens when he lets himself be told what to do by william.

gabriel when he grew up learned to hate foxy thanks to mikes bullying. this is why the head of the foxy plushie is torn off -- it was gabriel who didnt want to see it anymore.

gabriel is... well, as we know hes a sad sad boy. but this sadness also has a lot of anger. hes a little cocktail of every negative emotion a seven year old can have. this only got worse after he died

this is completely unrelated to the aftons, and not based on much fact if any, but i like the idea of old man consequences being some kind of henry representation. just cause i like the visual of henry acting as a soothing presence for the children, including mike.. he sits by the lake, fishing, not paying any mind to william’s screams. he’s just chillin. giving nuggets of wisdom. Again I Know This Is Based On Absolutely Nothing but i like this idea too much to drop

If you like the Romanov era of Russia, I'd recommend reading The Romanovs and Mr Gibbes; it's about the English tutor for the Romanov children, who was just an incredibly weird man all round. Odd read but worth it if you're interested!

oh nice! I just checked it out and it definitely looks like the kind of thing I’d like to read. I love learning about history through highly specific biographies.

There was a big storyline with her diagnosis a couple of years ago. It’s a lot to go into, but it was a long one and it was very well done. What an actress.
