The Dippy Chippy Review - Bar-bee-Que Tapas Style - £3.50
We need chips ! – The Dippy Chippy Review
While at the Hardwick Hall food festival my 2 year old was screaming for some chips. The Dippy Chippy (TheDippyChippy.co.uk) was the only place that had them on offer and even had a little twist on just a tray of fried sliced potatoes.
Basically you get a tray of chips and each different menu selection comes with different sauces which are generously applied on top, then on top of that is an added topping such as, bacon bits, crispy onion, biltong ect.
We went with the Bar-bee-Que option which was a tray of large chips, BBQ sauce, Garlic mayo and topped with Chorizo crumb.
Its hard not to be harsh unfortunately, no blame on The Dippy Chippy as the chips were certainly good and the sauce and topping were nice. The problem is, it essentially was just some fried chips with sauce on so nothing special and something that can easily be replicated. That being said we all liked them and there wasn’t any left and the value was good.
ICSOT Rating – 6 / 10
