I think having the narrator repeat what was just said in regards to the bus scene was meant to be humorous. Or at least that's how I took it since the film's humor is really dry.

I just don’t think that bit worked. The narration was infrequent so every time it popped in it stuck out and there the jarring effect of the narration made the joke fall flat for me

It's all good, Araki isn't the most consistent writer to begin with, so it can be difficult to keep the rules governing how stands work in order. I mean, how did Star Plat get Jotaro all those items when in prison/during the Darby fight, when punch ghosts can't go further than a few meters?

dang, also right. it’s kinda sad that i didn’t even notice those other things and just had the epiphany about Love Deluxe. i guess Araki can’t really be blamed too much since it’s for the most part minor things like those that get a bit inconsistent (excluding major factors like his art style, but that’s forgivable as well since artists can constantly change). Though i’m sure half the time he’s writing he just shrugs, throws his hands up and goes, “It just works”

Certain stands are bound to physical objects and can be seen by non-stand users. Examples, off the top of my head, include Anubis, Surface, Love Deluxe, and Super Fly.

I think I heard that the recent Mother 1 port on the WiiU fixes the grind issue. I could be wrong though. If that's the case, I might just buy that version so I don't get disinterested in the grind.

aa yes then i would totally buy it if they fixed the grind. I don’t have access to a wii u so sadly i must emulate which i wish i didn’t have to do but i love the games but maybe someday.....

I’ve been needing to play Mother 1 and Mother 3, but never get around to doing it :~(

I’ve never actually played mother 3, just saw some walkthroughs and didn’t even finish those (but i love lucas and the other characters i just stopped one day and never picked it back up) but mother 1 is a must play in my opinion. it’s a game you can probably only have the will enough to play once though, because it is grind-central. even so it’s an experience of its own and is kind of interesting to play through and see the bits of what made into earthbound. just have a guide handy if you do ever play it!

I totally understand that. The only time I ever watch music videos is if someone links it to me, or if I’m trying to get a sense for an artist’s sound before downloading an album (I stupidly forget that I have Spotify to do that for some reason, stuck in old ways?). Besides that I’m mostly an album listener. So much so, that I hardly know any song names besides ones that really grab my attention.

im pretty much the exact same way, like i only see music videos if they were specifically linked to me or if i deliberately look them up, so i end up missing most of them

How could you forget the music video for “Once in a Lifetime”? David Byrne’s dance moves are legendary in it. (I think they have one for Burning Down the House as well. Maybe a few others, too. Idk)

i dont watch many music videos in general so thats part of it i guess. i tend to consume albums and videos seperately i guess. that was an egregious oversight on my part tho. once in a lifetime is so good
