I’m a volunteer dog fosterer! After Jeanie passed recently, I so missed the company of a dog friend, particularly for going on walks and pottering around the garden and studio. As I’ll be moving soon, it doesn’t make sense for me to get a permanent dog friend just yet, but I did discover I could foster a dog from the nearby Dogs Trust shelter short term instead. Pixie is a perfect first match as she already has a forever home to go to on Tuesday and just needed a short stay and company at a home in the meantime. I can’t wait for her to meet her new human friends she’ll be permanently living with next week. And then, I’ll get to foster care another dog in need soon afterwards. I wonder who we’ll get to meet next? Woof Woof! 🐶 ❤️ . . . The Dogs Trust are always looking for temporary foster carers for dogs in need while they wait to be placed in their forever homes and to help ease the pressure on spaces at their shelters.
