It had been the last thing she wanted, to venture into the asylum, but she had no choice. Her husband and son ran inside, leaving her alone, knowing how much she hated being by herself. It was the dead of night, with the nocturnal creatures making sounds around her, but the stillness to the atmosphere was unsettling. And of course she had tried sitting in the car, though she was too afraid someone would try to force their way in. Her mind was racing, making her believe the worst would happen.
As she walked inside, she held her cell tight in her hand, using the flashlight to navigate herself. The sound of her own heartbeat thudded in her ears, though she was determined to find her family. They deserved an earful for leaving her outside, though she understood their curiosity.
Once she was in the room and her body was being pushed into the chair, she screamed, until she saw their faces. “What the hell is wrong with you two?” She asked, sitting her phone down beside her.
