riza hawkeye!
realistic: she’d never been allowed to have a pet as a child, though she’d always wished for one, so she was actually excited to adopt Hayate and grew attached to him quickly. she also asked for advice on first time pet care to make sure she was providing the right environment and food when she took Hayate to the vet the day she took him in, just to make sure he was healthy
while it may not be realistic it is hilarious: when she first adopts Hayate, the rules are that he sleeps only on his dog bed and he is not to jump up on the furniture. that lasts all of two weeks before he’s happily sleeping up on her bed and she gives in to his big brown puppy eyes
heart-crushing and awful: there’s a thick, discolored scar left behind on her neck when her throat was cut back on the Promised Day. sunlight has a negative effect on healing scars, in that it can make them burn and subsequently darken permanently and the neck is a difficult place to keep out of the sun unless you wear a scarf every day
unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own: she doesn’t know how to braid her hair, or at least very well. once she expressed how impressed she was with Ed’s braiding skills and how she was thinking about learning sometime in front of Major Armstrong, who then offered to braid it for her with a technique that had been ‘passed down the Armstrong line for generations’. she smiled and politely told him maybe another time
