The Dust Blows Forward ‘n’ the Dust Blows Back: Week 5

For the fifth and final week of the course, artist Patricia Valencia returned to finish filming the performances with the student groups. We were also joined by master printer Maggie Lomeli to start the beginning stages of designing the exhibition poster for the upcoming show. Both artists will work in collaboration with Vincent Ramos and the students after this week to refine all aspects of the work, leading up to the exhibition at the artist-run gallery, Selecto Planta Baja.

The Dust Blows Forward ‘n’ the Dust Blows Back: Week 4

The fourth week introduced the students to basic video production with artist Patricia Valencia. She worked with the groups to turn their written words into live action. They utilized the distinct architecture of the HOLA building and surrounding streets as their main set.

They also found time to finish building their first weeks "haunted house" set exercise, which will also be featured in their upcoming exhibition.
