Finally. The Spiritfire furnace blazed to life as the roar of heat and light finally returned to the Azure Palace, crystal sconces upon the walls and lotus lanterns that floated in the artificial rivers that meandered through the floor relit and filled the library with a mellow gold that matched the ghostly azure emanated from the Cloudhymn magic that flooded his ancestor's palace. Dan Heng would never call himself an engineer but there was enough literature for him to gradually restore the function of a palace once the size of a city.

The sound of Bailu padding upon vast marble floors with steaming mugs of water and flowering tea pellets just beginning to bloom. Dan Heng gladly accepted the beverage as Bailu sat next to him on a cushion with her own cup, the steaming liquid sweet and fragrant.

"Thanks. At the very least, we won't have to bumble around in the dark any longer."
