Wolf and Stranger Roads [Open Thread]
With the sun long since passed it's daily cycle, the cold autumn moon was now creeping in. The night air growing chilly. A crisp, brisk wind was enough to catch ones lungs and refresh the spirit when huddled beside the warmth of a fire. And that's exactly what she was doing. Snaps of fire devoured logs stacking the large caravan fireplace - Holo taking every opportunity to pick as much heat as she could from the wild hearth. The glowing embers of the fire caught her red eyes and flushed out the golden brown colour of her hair.
Holo. Who was really none other than Holo The Wise Wolf, a spirit or god of the land bound in human form. One would have thought her nothing more than a sharp witted girl with a furious taste for alcohol at first glance. But under the cloak and hat she bore...were a pair of wolf ears and a tail. A tail of which she was very proud of. Yet, Holo seldom traveled alone these days. After meeting a certain merchant the two had promised to return her to her home of Yoitz, a cold land far to the North. They had been practically inseparably up to now.
But things had came up that had prevented the merchant, Kraft Lawrence, from coming with her. He had been push on ahead by an urgent matter and Holo was forced to join the caravans on their journey to the twos destination. It was nothing like when the two were traveling together - there were far more stops and pleasant company was rather wanting for the Wise Wolf.
But with the crackle of the fire Holo simply smiled. Her lips parting.
"How long are you going to skulk around back there?" The wolfs voice was light, friendly. "If you stay back there any longer I dare say you shall catch a cold! Or the wolves may get you." Still Holo made no attempt to force them to come over, nor show any sign of her fleeing or putting up any sort of fight.
