Get ready to fight because by the end of the night we may not make it out alive! The Night Life is the perfect band to start off your day. From Evansville, Indiana, this pop rock band has great jams both for dancing and singing along with. With a fresh face and great music TNL is sure to big be big. The song, "Fight For Your Life," gives off positive vibes that can turn a bad day good. It's fun song and extremely talented band to roll your windows down and blast on the street. Light the Rocket is a four-piece pop rock band out of San Jose, California. Known for an energetic live show, LTR is a band full of fun and unique members. With the four guys combined, they have perfected a sound that is not often heard. LTR mixes their pop rock genre with electronic elements to make a sound that is very easy to pick out. Their self-entitled debt album saw great success and received publicity from their local radio stations and also earned them RAWard’s Musician of the year in San Jose. After listening to just a few tracks, it is evident that LTR definitely deserved all of the success they saw with this album. The overall theme (with a few exceptions) of relationships and all the directions they can take you, “Light The Rocket,” can appeal to almost anyone. From “Carefully” telling you to take things slow even if they feel great, to “Forever” saying that it’s possible to wait forever for something you love, “Light The Rocket” has a resemblance to a Mayday Parade album with all the trips it take you on. Regardless of the messages, the music makes you want to tap your foot and get lost for a while. LTR is definitely a band to keep your eye on! The group that has seen and done it all! DaCav made it’s come up in Philly during the Philly Idol Competition in 2006. Since then, DaCav has had some major success stories. They won MTV Video Music Award for “Best Breakout Philly Artist” and have shared the stage with people like Rihanna, Just Bieber, and Ludacris! This song, “To The Sky”, is a song to party to! With the electronic beats that give it almost a house type feel, this is a song that you may hear in the club some day! “To The Sky” features strong female vocals, a catchy chorus, and even some rapping! Pretty Boy Hefner, the 17-year-old rapper from Madison, WI has seen significant success in his time. After growing up in a single mother household, Pretty Boy Hefner vowed to work hard for his mother, and to never give up on his dreams. Even after seeing that his dreams are in close reach, Hef stays very humble in his music. In his first iTunes hit, “Holding Me Down,” Hef takes a different approach to the topic of women. Instead of talking down on women and being cocky, Hef does the opposite and talks about treating a women right. In the opening line, PBH is insisting that his girl stays smiling. This song definitely shows PBH for his true self, he sings and raps throughout the song and his talent shines through. Pretty Boy Hefner has big things in store with The Fan Connection and his music career all the same. He is sure to be doing some HUGE things in the near future. Not only is his fanbase growing, but his chances for opportunities are too. To stay on track with him, watch for the opening of his Fan Club!

Spoken Life

A little different than past artists we have reviewed, Spoken Life is a singer/ songwriter acoustic project out of Philadelphia, Pa. Being a project that is roughly two years old, Spoken Life has seen a lot of success. The first single released in March of 2012, "Remember," saw an immediate response on social media sites such as Facebook and Reverbnation. Anthony Irvin, the artist himself, had been involved for music for over ten years, but it wasn't until May of 2012 that he released his solo album under the project name Spoken Life. Since then, he has gained a rather strong following and undergone a lot of growing as a musician.

The goal of Spoken Life's music is to connect with the listener. In this single "Shell," the lyrics speak of the frustrations of pleasing others before yourself. This topic being something people can easily relate to, Irvin goes on to encourage this listener to break out of their "shell." A very deep song that is accompanied by a sort of different guitar problem and a smooth voice, this is definitely something to turn on when you are in your feelings.

Spoken Life ended 2013 by releasing the EP "Learn It, Live It, Love It" (the EP in which "Shell" was featured), and plans to start this year with a new cover song. Looking to release this song in the next week or two, Spoken Life will stay busy and head straight into it's first gig of the year. SO! Tonight- Exit Plan

A former "Artist of the Week" here at the Fan Connection, Exit Plan is a four piece pop punk band out of Wellsville, NY.  Although Exit Plan has only been together for a year and a half, they have made music that can easily turn some heads. With the catchy lyrics and fun fast paced music, Exit Plan is sure to see some success. Some of their favorite bands to listen to ranges from All Time Low to The Story So Far, needless to say their music is the definition of pop punk!

"Tonight" is one of the tracks off of their most recent EP "Sorry About Last Night." This particular song is the kind that gets stuck in your head. With the underlying baseline paired with the unique use of the keys and the catchy lyrics, it's 100% possible that after giving this song a listen you will be walking around the house jamming to it. It's cool though because this song has nothing but good vibes connected with it.

Be sure to stay in tune with all of their changes, rumor has it there are a ton in the works!!!

The Django Riders are the chosen ones! 

The Django Riders is a four piece folk/ rock band out of Nashville, Tennessee. The Django Rider's music ranges from "let's sit and chill" to bubbly and feel good. So pretty much- no matter your mood, they have a song for you. The vocals have a raspy sort of grunge to them, and there is always a  wicked groove to accompany them. This has definitely helped TDR stand out in the folk rock scene. With all three of their nominations for the Nashville Universe Awards ("Entertainer of the Year," "Song of the Year," and "Songwriter of the Year"), their success has proven to turn some heads. Be sure to give these guys a listen and be on the look out because things are looking pretty bright for them!

FIRST EVER TFC MUSIC REVIEW!

Mint State is a 5 piece rock band out of Long Island, NY. This single "Far Away" is off of their EP Hood Sessions released on June 25th. With influences of Story Of The Year, Patent Pending, and Bayside the Mint State has a familiar yet unique sound. The sound resembles an early Blink 182 / New Found Glory mix. With three vocalists, Mint State has some wicked harmonies for their rather relatable lyrics. Definitely something worth giving a listen. 

If you are in the Long Island area definitely go check these guys out! They have a few shows in December, and have been playing some new stuff that is rather appealing to the ear ;)
