a friend asked me to blog about my nine months here in North Carolina. I said I'd try. We'll see. (For more information about exactly what I will be doing, please see the Kinston Fellows program page).
- I am living with a host family. They have two children, 5 and 2, and one rather old cat.
- I am working for a security company that sells security systems, as well as providing armed and unarmed guards. (guess which part I work with...)
-I have seminary once a week. highlight of my week. (except this week I inadvertently called out my professor on a ticky issue and he said I was anal, just like him).
-I've meet more people than I can remember. (I am also really bad with names. forgive me).
-Kinston is a super confusing town. Apparently it is laid out around a golf course, so there is no grid. Its just streets that curve and twist, and dead end, and split while keeping the same name. (and I am usually really good with directions).
- there are a total of 0 (zero) coffee shops in town. (my heart is breaking).
- I am 1.5 hrs. from the East Coast. I mean to visit soon.
- there is one other Fellow with me. Her name is Mary Nell. I love her.
- It is supposed to be 77 degrees this Saturday, with a low of 54. (one day only)
