#excerpt When a man journeys towards his destiny, often he is obliged to change paths. At other times, the forces around him are too powerful and he is compelled to lay aside his courage and yield. All this is part of his apprenticeship. But no one can lose sight of what he desires. Even if there are moments when he believes the world and the others are stronger. The secret is that: DO NOT SURRENDER! The widow of Zarephath says, "if someone asks a favor of me, it is because I still have some use on this earth. I'll do as he (Elijah) asks, if only to relieve his suffering. I too have known hunger, and know its power to destroy the soul." Elijah says, "everything will happen as was written by the Lord (for the Lord is still in absolute control.) However there are moments when tribulations occur in our lives, and we cannot avoid them. But they are there for some reason. What reason? That is a question we cannot answer before, or even during, the trials. Only when we have overcome them do we understand why they were there. We are most likely to misinterpreted, misrepresent, or misunderstand the lessons from the tribulations during the times we go through them📌 Elijah says, "... I have doubted myself. I am no longer worthy of my task. The Angel replied, "Every man hath the right to doubt his task and to forsake it from time to time, but what he must not do is FORGET IT. Whoever doubteth not himself is unworthy — for in his unquestioning belief in his ability, he commiteth the sin of pride. Blessed are they who go through moments of indecision. Oftentimes, a man's fate has nothing to do with what he believes or fears👌 "He high priest knew that of all the weapons of destruction that man could invent, the most terrible and the most powerful was the word. Daggers and Spears left traces of blood, arrows could be seen at a distance. Poisons were detected in the end and avoided. But the word managed to destroy without leaving clues. The best warrior however is the one who succeeds in transforming an enemy into a friend📌 #thefifthmountain #paulocoelho #bookstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CmwzlH2IRgx/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
