    Despite his camera man’s jump, Pete couldn’t help but let out a short chuckle. Perhaps the FIRST one since he had woken up that day. They were out in the middle of fucking NOWHERE, it was muggy and not worth the energy for him to perk up unless there was a lens on him. Still, he raised his hands at his sides, only half serious, before moving around him.

    “Was just checking to see if you were good to go,” he said, “What, you’re going to go into his obviously haunted house with us and you’re scared of ME? Come on, don’t tell me this place is already getting to you.”

     Time seemed to both stretch and speedby as the numbness of sleep had gotten a hold of him. Pete couldn'texactly remember when he had fallen asleep, maybe it was between therealization that he could relax for a few moments in the room and thelull in conversation, but he only seemed to realize that he once oncehe felt something grab him. It took a few moments forhis voice to break through, but the touch was enough to send him intoalarm as he jerked awake. The table let out a rather loud 'clank'as his head collided with the edge of it, the objects on the surfacerattling quietly as he let out a loud curse.

     “Wh—“ he hissed, clutching at hishead as he blinked blearily at Clancy, “What the hell?I'm awake—I'm awake. What's going on?”
