With this song, I tried something a little different. I imagined each battle theme to be for each person in a video game, much like Undertale. However, I wanted to create a song for a good ending of the game, where everyone lives and peace is brought to the world. Happy endings are always amazing, so I thought I’d do it with this. So, I hope you enjoy ‘Hopes for the Future,’ the end-game song for Internet Remix! ...
Well, this is it. The last of the battle themes for Internet Remix. You know, when I started this project, I did because I wanted to show the people of IR that I could write music, as well as play it. Sure, my entire life I’ve done covers of songs, and I made the occasional original song here and there, but it wasn’t my best. It never felt right, like I was always ripping other work off. But with this project, it’s different. I’ve done something different, something original, something I can call my own. I feel like I’ve become better as a person, as well as becoming better as a musician. Seeing how many people enjoy my music has made me feel like my music is meaning something to people, and to me, that’s what I wanted my work to do. I wanted it to reach out to people, make them see something positive, the same way I good song does to me. I don’t want to make music just for money, hence why I try and keep my commissions so cheap. I don’t want to create a number one hit on the radio, but rather have my music flow into people’s hearts and minds to show them something beautiful in the world, the same way a sunset over a lake in spring does. So this may be the end of ‘Battle Themes for Awesome Beans’ (yes, that was the name of this project the entire time), but it isn’t the end for my music. I will keep writing and posting music, but probably not every day. If possible, once every week or two weeks. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d love to hear them. I’m just so happy that my music has made people smile; to me, that’s all that matters. Thank you everyone. And remember: if music makes you grin, consider that a win. Be it a smirk or a smile, at least my work was surely worthwhile.
