Polaroid Set: Delta Spirt, Darker My Love, The Fling tour winter 2010
The Fling - I stumbled across this indie film about an attractive young couple in an open relationship. Their relationship is stretched to the breaking point when they begin to fall for their respective lovers.
The film focuses on the ever present ideology of an open relationship and explores the kinds of people they attract and involve.
I enjoyed the performances in this film. The actors are very selfless and the film has a realistic vibe. This story could be happening right now.
There is a focus on kissing in the film, ways of kissing, people who are kissing - the kissing becomes symbolic of the addiction we have of people, of sex and of love.
FLING (internationally titled LIE TO ME) is the award-winning debut feature from writer/director John Stewart Muller. It was co-written and produced by Laura Boersma, Muller's partner at Santa Monica-based Granfalloon Productions. It stars Brandon Routh (Superman Returns, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World), Steve Sandvoss (Rumor Has It, Latter Days), Nick Wechsler (Revenge, Roswell), Shoshana Bush (Dance Flick), Courtney Ford (Dexter, True Blood) and Ellen Hollman (Spartacus, Weeds).
