Back in 2020, I went away for a short holiday and whenever I was watching TV, an ad for "The Founder" played almost non-stop for five days straight. So, of course through heavy trailer play, I HAD to track down a copy of The Founder and finally did.... I'm not 100% sure how accurate this is but it's pretty interesting to follow along. Who hasn't at least had Macca's once in their life and what kid hasn't had a maccas party? I'm pretty sure I had two and know my friends had maccas parties too. But it was cool to see the origins of the franchise that we know today. You know what gave me a heartattack while watching this!? 35c meal! You know how much a burger is,let a meal nowadays!? Dude!? 35c for a burger,chips and soft drink. 🤯🤯 guess people really weren't kidding about how cheaper everything was back then. Than hearing 30sec waits, have you been to a maccas lately? Certainly not 30 second waits..more like minutes. I love the way this story is told, the different flashback styles and use of colouring of black & white vs colour in the flashbacks. So gorgeous! So clever! It's not annoying, it feels fresh and makes me believe that it flows with the story being told.
