Carried away with his cleaning duties, Kita almost didn’t notice the ding of a bell indicating there was a customer entering his mother’s bakeshop. He sat his cleaning rag upon the polished counter top as he approached the front counter with a curious look wondering as to why someone would be entering this late of the day. Surely this wasn’t one of those last minute orders that would make his mother stay up working til midnight. again “Um...” The airbender breathed out looking out for the person who just came in. “Can I help you?”
It had only been a few days since Amber had left the Fire Nation and settled into a small flat in Republic city with a select number of friends from her previous studies. She was already begging to feel homesick, her thoughts drifted towards her family - namely her younger brother Kai. Amber shook her head, trying to dismiss the thoughts, she would return home in no time at all and join the Fire Nation Navy; then she would see him again. In order to take her mind off home, she took what little money she needed and sent herself towards the one market square she remembered the way to.
The market place was lively, the sound of laughter and other peoples voices filled the air. The sun was high up in the sky, beaming down; gracing them with warmth. A content sigh parted from her lips as she looked upon the various exotic stalls; one thing she knew for sure was that Republic City sure was a place of diversity - she had never seen so many different foods or items from other Nations. It sure wasn’t the same as the Fire Nation. In Amber’s awe at all the weird and wonderful things, she didn’t notice the person she was now on a collision course with. Amber quickly attempted to spin out of the way, pushing her hair from her face. “I’m dreadfully sorry, I didn’t see you there!”
“The fuck are you doing?”
“Hey, what the hell was that for?” Nakoma looked at the other blatantly confused before backing away to protect his rear. “It get it’s nice to look at, but it’s not for you to touch.”
Lunch time ||OPEN||
Anna was having her lunch in a packed and noisy fast food restaurant. There was too much going on around her for her to concentrate and at least enjoy her meal. There was no book in her bag or beer in her hand, only the sound of children crying over their meal toys and adults trying to calm them down.
“Why Did I come in her....” She said to herself rubbing her temple with both her hands.
Bar Time ~OPEN~
Anna sat at the bar drinking as much as she possibly could. Work was really stressful today and she just need that little or maybe a lot to help take the edge off. So much paper work and phone calls in one day. The mess at the end of the day on the table was too much for her to handle, so she left five minutes early to get her favorite spot at her usual bar.
She looked all around her and saw people enjoying their time and chatting socially. That wasn’t her. She loved nothing more than her own company..... well sometimes.
A little me time....... ||OPEN||
Anna sat at the fountain with her favorite book. It was old and starting to break from how much she read the pages over and over again. Although this book was familiar to her, she read each page as if it was the first time.
With one hand she moved across and picked up a bottle that was in a brown paper bag. She swigged it down as if it was her last drink, but never took her eyes of the page.
