Ok, I don't know if anyone else agrees with me on this, but coming from someone who's parents argue, Danny is NOT in the wrong for being miserable during the holidays.
Yes, it was wrong of him to laugh at the ghost writer when he destroyed his poem. But the entire episode makes him out to be a villain for disliking Christmastime with a completely valid reason. I get it, the moral is that just because he's upset and angry, doesn't mean that he has to bring everyone else down. BUT HE WAS BARELY DOING THAT EITHER!
Even when he was walking with Sam and Tucker in the mall, he doesn't get upset at Sam for being cheery. He only gets upset after being bumped around by random shoppers, and then when he sees his parents fighting. I mean, bro can't even enjoy an outing with his friends without it being ruined by his parents fighting. The best part? As soon as this happens, Danny removes himself from the situation and takes out his anger away from others in the ghost zone - he doesn't act like a dick to his friends and family and take it out on them.
Danny shouldn't be made to feel bad because of the way he feels because of his parents fighting every Christmas since his birth (and probably before). His parents are the ones in the wrong for neglecting their children and fighting instead of just agreeing to disagree and enjoying the holidays with the ones they care about most.
So yes, I do hate how this episode practically tells Danny to just "accept it as another tradition" and "it's not that deep". Because it is that deep. Poor Danny.
Another thing, why did Jazz put stopping Jack and Maddie's fight on Danny? "Can't you make Dad not fight her?" Honestly, it most likely chalks up to the ghost writer making her say it for a rhyme (everyone in this episode was being heavily influenced by him and it pmo). But seriously, c'mon Jazz! You of anyone should know not to put the responsibility of parents fighting on a 14 year old boy.
