It was always with Poppy that Cassius couldn’t see a damn thing that was going to happen.

So when a sudden, intense pain shot through his side -- quite literally, it seemed -- he fell backwards, gripping at his wound to try to keep pressure on it. He was too busy focusing on his side to even catch a glimpse of the next minute.

Frankly, he’d hardly noticed Poppy had been pulling him up until he felt a bit more pressure on his wound.

“The- The shop--” His voice was shaky, breathing uneven. “Get- We need to get to my shop. I have- I should have enough first aid to- to deal with this.”

“ looks like you got in a bit of a scuffle tonight. ”  the kid wipes down the bar quickly, before pouring them a double - unrequested.  any other owner would go bankrupt if they gave out drinks at the rate he did, still he continues, unperturbed, with a wink and a smile.  “ on the ‘ouse.  just don’t let any of these shits hear me givin’ ‘em out. ”

exhaustion, fear and desperation all gets concealed by anger, as he paces back and forth, talking to himself — SHOUTING at himself — kicking at rocks and punching at the old light pole, with no regard for his surroundings or who might be witnessing his little outburst. at this point, the police could very well show up and arrest him again. which is what he first assumes when he hears a voice speak up from behind. turning around on his heel, there’s mild relief at seeing a lack of uniform, his anger subsequently fading from the interruption, leaving him merely stunned. and for a moment, he just stares at the other, before plopping down to sit on one of the larger rocks that he’d kicked at just moments ago, hands moving up to cover his face, fingers grasping at dark strands of hair.      ❛❛   ... i don’t know,   ❜❜      his voice cracks, shaking his head to himself.      ❛❛   everything’s gone wrong...   ❜❜

The person he’d been seeing had hardly any defining facial features, never wearing the same clothes, though their hair, their demeanor, it generally remained the same. And each time he’d seen them, he couldn’t place from which direction they came.

This stranger had been on his mind for a good week now. No name to go off, not a single good look at their face.

Well, Cassius was simply far too deep in thought when he’d managed to bump into someone. Someone who seemed vaguely familiar to him. The touch quickly brought him back to reality, brought his focus back to his surroundings. And after regaining his awareness, Cassius jumped at the opportunity to perhaps finally figure out who the hell his visions had been warning him about.

“You! You. I’ve been seeing you.” He brought up one hand to motion for them to stop and chat. “...That sounds odd, let me rephrase. I’ve been told about you.”
