Went to see @katharina_grosse #thisdrovemymotherupthewall @southlondongallery yesterday. Fantastic use of the gallery space, where there was no distinction between the gallery and the work. Interesting to see how it affected the visitors, the noise level was quite high, kids running around, lots of energy in the space. Unlike the usual hushed reverent library feel that often pervades the gallery space. Grosse says "I think a painted space is very different to a built space and when I put the two together they create something like a paradox" Upstairs there's two films both worth watching in full #thegleanersandi & #womenartists.
