This red gum is the close friend of the 500 year old red gum (which by the way, is estimated to have witnessed 176,000+ sunrises and sunsets). It stands in Doctor's Gully Road around 50 metres north-east of the roundabout which will, in the not too distant future undergo major works. This tree is also in grave danger and must be saved. I estimate that it has witnessed around 140,000 sunrises and sunsets. Both trees live within the boundary of the property. This is a red gum so full of character and history, it defies description. It may be a birthing tree but I don't know. It certainly is very special and probably the centre piece of many rituals. I shall post more pictures of this tree from various angles. It stands about 350 metres into the property in a north-eastern direction from where the 500 year old threatened red gum resides on the corner of Yan Yean Road and Bridge Inn Road Doreen.
