So far, it had been a pretty quiet night for Cissie. She’s only caught two purse snatchers. Lame. So she’s fiddling with some equipment atop one of the downtown buildings not too far from the touristy bits. She’s just settling down to listen to the police scanner when nearby there’s a very brief, but very loud alarm. It didn’t go off for long, maybe a few seconds, but that’s all she needed to figure out that it was coming from the museum.
Interesting. She lands on top of the museum just as two guards are hauling ass out of the building screaming something about a monster on the loose. There are a whole list of monsters she’s encountered herself that it could be, but none of them were last seen anywhere near here.
She’ll never know if she doesn’t go check it out. Instead of going in through the way the guards exited, she tries an upper window. This museum doesn’t appear to have a skylight. Oh well. She does find a window that’s unlocked and carefully opens it and slips inside. She appears to be in some kind of office. That’s fine.
Very stealthily, she makes her way from the offices to the main area of the museum. There, in the large rotunda is the monster, for lack of a better term. Some sort of really tall dog-man thing? But Cissie knows that not all people who look like monsters actually are. But she’s wary enough to not get too close and opts to stay on the top floor.
“Uh, hey there. I’m pretty sure the museum is closed. What’re you doing here?”
