There's an odd power surrounding this girl, along with quite the amount of energy. He can only assume it's because she's so peppy and bright, even at first glance he can tell she's a very happy young lady.
He's about to bow, but then realise it would probably look like he was bending to her height-- she was as small as a Kokiri child. Instead, he nods his head in greeting.
