"...I think I may have developed a phobia of dark icky places."
Recalling his last endeavour, a shudder and then a sigh followed, his feet stopping in their tracks.
"Why do I have to be the one to investigate the sewers?"
If he remembered correctly, of which he certainly did, Zelda promised him that there would no longer be adventuring on his agenda, lest Hyrule was in grave danger. Of which, Link felt no impending danger--- just the Hyrulean Forces being lazy, once again
An eyebrow rose, cerulean irises glancing over his shoulder, an eerie feeling driving him closer and closer to the strange noise.
"....Is anyone there?"
His voice stern and authoritative, a custom he became used to after traveling into that corrupted land. It was perhaps, a little too natural for his liking.

He had murdered his target once again...
Link panted heavily as he laid on the ground next to the corpse of the former naval captain. "I guess this one's worth less than I had planned..." He sighed deeply knowing that the original payment would be reduced greatly.
Standing up slowly, he took out a small cloth from his pocket and wiped the blood off his daggers. He started walking away when suddenly a flash blinded him and a woman's voice rang in the air.
"How dare you kill my beloved!? You will pay dearly..."
"What the flying f...." Before he could finish cussing, he felt his body go cold and numb and lost consciousness.
A few hours later, he woke up feeling dizzy and disoriented. He looked around to see where he was... but the place was WAY different than he remembered. "Hmm, why is it so dark?
The mercenary decided it was better to move so he made his way forward. "This certainly isn't Hyrule..." He noticed the figure of a woman standing nearby and waved at her. "Hey, sorry to bother you but do you know what road can I take to Hyrule?"

"Watch out!"
[ Thunder strikes down the shadow just before it manages to reach the stranger. She exhales sharply, the exhaustion weighing heavily on her as she makes her way to the defeated opponent, her persona fading out of sight. It was getting more and more difficult to summon up the concentration to fight, yet the shadows did not relent. ]
[ And then there was the matter of the woman in front of her— she'd thought her another target of the murderer, thrown into this world to be killed off. But no, this one was different. Her appearance alone attested that she was of a different kind, possibly even belonging to this place. She did not appear to be hostile, though the detective kept her guard up. Too often had this realm deceived her, and one misstep could always lead to the abyss. ]
