“Look, I still killed the fucker, alright?” The vampire snapped, not at all pleased with the tone in which he was being spoken too. No, the job hadn’t gone as smoothly as everyone involved would have wanted - but the feral vampire master and all his thralls had been dealt with. They were gone. Dead. Ash. Not enough left of them to trip over.
So a few mortals got caught up in the mix? It was their fault they put their noses where it didn’t belong. Idiots looking for adventure, looking to ‘prove’ themselves to one another. All that got ‘em was open throats, dead eyes, and a potential fiery hunger that was about to consume them. They were too far gone to help. Some were already gnawing and clawing on themselves to try and stop the pain in their stomachs and heads.
So, Asher had to put them down before things got worse for everyone.
“If I had left anyone alive, they’d’a become as feral as their makers, and it wouldn’t’a been pretty. Ain’t my fault the idjits tried taking on something they couldn’t handle a’fore I got there. Ya sent me as damage control, lad, so that’s what I did: I controlled the damage. Don’t get yer knickers in a twist cause shit didn’t go down the way you wanted. Don’t like what I did, then next time ya can do it yourself.”
"So you can cast a few spells? Am I supposed to be impressed?" Luther
[Prompt]
“I’m not trying to impress anyone,” Tort said, furrowing her brows in confusion. The corpse that had been given temporary life was crawling back into it’s resting place in the crypts, although now it settled in a more comfortable-looking position.
“I was just having him move so he’d be more comfortable,” she answered, trailing off and feeling her face flush when she realized just how ridiculous that likely sounded to the elder vampire. “I mean... I was moving him out of the way?”
“Oh, gods. How long have you been there?” Alessandra
[Prompt]
“Long enough ta know you got more than enough’a that to share,” Asher said, smirking and motioning to the blood the other vampire had been bottling. He leaned against the doorframe, filling the doorway with his form. If anyone walked in, they’d only be able to see the back of him, rather than the inside of the room.
“Seem ta have a nice setup here... be a shame to have it all mucked up by the guards, eh?”
“Hm? Oh, of course,” the vampire said, offering a warm smile to the fellow female. Fortunately, the job she was working on had no real deadline, and she already had a head start. Taking a break to chat with Ali sounded like a fine reward for all she had gotten done that day.

“I see you are making yourself comfortable here as well.” Luther
[Prompt]
Tortulja jerked at the voice, turning her head to look at the man who spoke. Recognizing him, she stood, setting her book to the side, and offered him a small, apologetic smile.
“Sorry, I just… it’s quiet here and sort of soothing. Usually, I’d be cemetery in Riften around now, but…” she trailed off, realizing that the Breton likely cared little for her explanations. “We don’t have catacombs in Riften like this, and I didn’t want to be in the way up at the house, so… I just thought I’d come down here to sit for a little while.”
“Oh, aye, it’s fine,” Signy said quickly, straightening from her place behind the counter, a sheepish look on her face. “I just dropped something I was working on is all.”
The compliment had been unexpected, especially from Warden. She offered him a warm, thankful smile as she placed her hand over his. “Thank you, Warden. It means a lot hearing it from you,” she said.
