I just want to hug you for your post 'The significance of missing scenes'. That's everything that is in my head and around it and I just haven't been able to really word it right and god it was great to read your post and be like yes yess this is it this is what I've been trying to say since before the episode even aired but just in my lulzy word vomitty way!!
.........
'" think the reason we haven’t been shown any lead up is because the core to resolving all this is going to lie in what actually happened between Blaine and Eli. I feel like if it wasn’t important then they would have shown us. They took the time to show a girl eyeing up Santana in the library at college to give context to the shift in Brittana’s relationship but don’t show us anything of a core scene that could lead to the breakup of Klaine’s relationship? That suggests to me that there’s more to this than they want us, or Kurt, to know yet. It seems to me that it’s going to come down two issues: a) What Kurt and Blaine, respectively, constitute as cheating. By Blaine’s definition, we can ascertain that as far as he himself is concerned, he did cheat, (“I was with someone”), the phrasing of this is important, he doesn’t say ‘slept with’ or even ‘kissed’ or ‘made out with’. It could argued that ‘with’ is a euphemism for sex for television but nonetheless it seems a heavy-handed way of saying it unless it is meant to be open to interpretation."

This part particularly. I saw a lot of people upset about the lack of closure for klaine/them not speaking after Don't Speak. But if the intention is that there's more to this that we and Kurt are not supposed to know yet then they have to avoid interaction between the two of them that would naturally lead to elaboration on Blaine/Eli. It's not the best move.. as right now it does leave a bad taste in some peoples mouths who believe that there's not more to this. But also it's exactly what they want so that the reveal of what actually happened has the full effect on the audience.
But yes anyway ultimately I just wanted to thank you for putting together the words I've wanted to and just couldn't do justice.
