This is one of my favorite pics of my Mommy and I taken 6 years ago, today. After losing Daddy, I inadvertently learned how to cherish life's moments as every second is a blessing. Since this picture was taken so much in life has changed for the both of us; good, bad and indifferent. 3 years ago this time, at a family party I asked Mommy to get up and dance with me. She reluctantly (due to aches and pains) got up after me begging her for a minute. She danced with me to a long African song (those that are familiar with our culture know how long these songs can last). I told Mom then how much that dance meant to me. As I get older and experience more of life, I realize how precious these moments are. Cherish your loved ones while you have them.
