"...I don't suppose you have a flashlight on you? I'd rather not use the one on my phone." Joshua leers from between the loose strands of hair that he then tucks away from his face.
He goes on to softly knock his knuckles against the infinitely high wall in the equally vast hallway he’s found himself ( and the stray of a Reaper ) in. Making this much noise — or any noise at all, really — is a considerable risk, given the precariousness of the situation, and the relatively compromised state he’s in.
But it's a risk he deems advantageous enough to take, as it allows him to — in his own instigative way — determine the condition of his fellow traveler (?) and potential assailant within the near future. ( It also lets him draw out any other beings prowling close by in the dark. )
Moreover: just as it taxes him to move between worlds, the same can ( or at least, should ) be said for Sho, so the difference in their strengths should remain as it was and is and always will be.
Fortunately, there seems to be none for now— at least, none close enough to hear them.
