Lord David Dirry-Moir | THE GRINNING MAN (2016)
The stage is still now. It’s just Grinpayne and Dea, standing together facing each other, in profile to the audience. Grinpayne cradles Dea’s hands in his between their chests. Dea never quite looks him in the eyes, always looking slightly off centre as a reminder of her blindness, though she always smiles broadly as though she can see him. They kiss. It’s a tender, intimate moment, intensely private, as the music swells around them.
THE GRINNING MAN: A Tragicomedy | Act II
Everywhere I look I see the darkness eating into me, Why is it that the truth's so hard to find?
