Sunny California as they always called it. They being the tourists who flocked to sun bathe at the beaches, and they were right to some extent in calling it the sunshine state. As always, the sun was high up in the sky gazing down with its scorching heat until mirages of glimmering water showed on the street across the motel. Despite the humidity and the heat, Norman couldn't help but shiver as a blast of cold air hit the back of his neck.
He leaned against the counter of the office and wiped away the beads of sweat that collected on his forehead. A silent curse was his only rebellion against the oppressive summer before falling back into staring out the door for customers.

Tessa had exited the Aviary. She had a basket full of feathers to add onto unfinished dream catchers. As she was walking to her usual tree, a breeze blew by. As usual, this symbolized a visitor in Aisling. The breeze was fairy cold, which was unusual. Excited by the news of a visitor, Tessa hung her basket on a branch and flew to the entrance of Aisling. Once she got there, she saw someone.
"Hello," she said with a smile. "Welcome to Aisling."
