I'm here at The Hatch again today (I forgot to post about our new hours 😖). I've got nothing to do, so enjoy this picture I took of myself while waiting for the professional photographer to come take my picture way back on the first Friday of April 😁 I forgot about our new hours, even though I just looked at the email yesterday! So, I was late and hurried over to my studio, but I forgot or neglected to bring so many things that now I'm stuck with nothing to do! I brought my flag and paints, but not my tablet with the design. I'm ready to spray paint, but I don't have my mask, and people might be walking through, I could do my habits, but I don't have any of my tools. Buffalo Daughter

シュガー吉永 (gt, vo, tb-303, tr-606)、大野由美子 (ba, vo, electronics)、山本ムーグ (turntable, vo)。1993年に結成。雑誌「米国音楽」が主催したインディ・レーベル「Cardinal Records」より発売した『Shaggy Head Dressers』、『Amoebae Sound System』の2枚がたちまちソールド・アウト。ルシャス・ジャクソンの東京公演でメンバーに音源を渡したことがきっかけで、1996年にビースティ・ボーイズが主催するレーベル「Grand Royal」と契約。同年、1stアルバム『Captain Vapour Athletes』(Grand Royal / 東芝EMI)を発表、アメリカ主要都市のツアーもおこない、活動の場は東京から世界へ。1998年に発表した2ndアルバム『New Rock』(Grand Royal/東芝EMI)は、アメリカ・ツアーの車移動の際に見た同じ景色の連続と、ジャーマン・ロックの反復感にインスパイアされた内容となり、大きな反響を獲得、瞬く間に時代のマスターピースに。その後もアメリカ中を車で何周も回る長いツアー、ヨーロッパ各都市でのツアーもおこない、ライヴ・バンドとして大きな評価を得る。2001年『I』(Emperor Norton Records / 東芝EMI)を発売した後、2003年『Pshychic』、2006年『Euphorica』はともに「V2 Records」よりワールドワイド・ディールで発売される。2006年には、雑誌「ニューズウィーク日本版」の、”世界が尊敬する日本人100人”に選ばれるなど、その動向は国内外問わず注目を集めている。2010年夏、自らのレーベル「Buffalo Ranch」を設立。ゲスト・ドラマーに松下敦を迎え、前作より約4年ぶりとなるアルバム『The Weapons Of Math Destruction』を発表。2013年、結成20年周年を記念した初のベスト盤『ReDiscoVer. Best, Re-recordings and Remixes of Buffallo Daughter』を発表。このアルバムは過去の音源のみならず、新録、カヴァー、ライヴ音源、リミックスを収録。新しいベストの形を提示した。また東京 / 大阪のギャラリーでバンドの歴史を辿る展示も開催した。2014年夏、7枚目となるアルバム『Konjac-tion』をリリース。2019年、5年ぶりとなる新作と過去作品の中からアナログ盤をリリース予定。
